Holistic means ''whole''. So this form of massage deals with you as a ''whole''. The aim is to rebalance the body so it achieves balance. Holistic massage is a therapeutic application of touch that is also a supportive, relaxing treatment that encourages the mind to slow down whilst the energy is increased. This treatment also lifts the spirit on an emotional level. Holistic massage is a relaxing treament using different techniques from Swedish, lymphatic and Acupressure/Shiatsu massage.

IHM is a traditional Indian technique of treating the upper back, neck, shoulders, upper arms, scalp and face by stimulating certain acupressure points in these areas. Because the treatment is non - invasive, with the recipient remaining clothed and seated during the session, it can be taken anywhere. IHM works on both, a physical and psychological level. By massaging the head and shoulders, energies will become rebalanced and a general relaxation will be achieved. IHM can improve blood flow to the head and neck, which increases the distribution of nutrients to engourage healing throughout the body.
The main benefit of IHM is the relaxation, but it can also help:
* to relieve eyestrain and headaches;
* to improve concentration;
* to improve joint mobility;
* to relieve stress, muscular tension and insomnia;
* to relieve physical and mental fatigue;
* can help with hair growth.

A relaxation massage is a whole body hands - on treatment that uses light pressure, stroking and rubbing of the skin to helo you relax. Being very superficial the main aim of a relaxation massage is pure relaxation. This is the massage to choose if you just want to chill out and be pampered and spoilt.

Swedish massage uses a variety of stroking, kneading, pressure and flowing movements over the body to treat and prevent a huge variety of complaints or can simply be used for deep relaxation. The pressure varies from light to strong. Swedish massage has been proven effective in the treatment of muscle aches and pains, headaches and migraines, depression, poor circulation, low immune system, digestive disorders, anxiety and stress and insomnia but is no way limited to this list!

It's a type of massage that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles. It is used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness and sore shoulders. Some of the strokes are the same as those used in classic massage, but the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). When muscles have been overworked, through stress or exercise, waste products such as lactic acid can accumulate in the muscles, causing soreness, stiffness and even muscle spasms. Massage can alleviate these conditions through boosting the circulatory and immune system which benefits blood pressure, circulation, muscle tone, digestion and skin tone, thereby leaving the client feeling refreshed.

There are a few versions of Cupping, I offer cold dry Cupping Massage with Stationary Cupping where necessary. Cupping Massage is the combination of massage movements and negative pressure with the use of a suction cup on the skin. A cup is positioned at the area to be treated and vacuum is created within the cup to draw the skin and underlying tissue into the cup. Suction cups rapidly facilitate rigid soft tissue release, loosens and lifts connective tissue, breaks up and drains stagnation while increasing blood and lymph flow to the skin and muscles in ways not possible using compression.
The intended suction can range from light to heavy. This, along with the movements performed and areas treated by the therapist will produce stimulating (toning) or sadating (draining) effects.
Cupping Massage can be done on its own or incorporating with other types of massages. You can have a treatment on only one area or on the whole body. It helps aching muscles and to activate the secretion of synovial fluids which relievee joint stiffness in ways not possible using the pressure of traditional massage. It creates localized expansion of tissue producing a profound vasodilatation reaction - drawing blood flow to areas of ischemic pain, raising skin temperature, promoting metabolism within the skin tissue for better functioning of sweat, flushing capillary beds, draining stagnant blood, toxins and lymph and re-supplying vital nutrients. Regular Cupping massage treatments are also reported to be very effective against cellulite.

It's one of the most relaxing massages you can have! Hot Stone Massage is a massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones either as an extension of their hands or by placing them on the body while they massage other parts of the body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles. The hot stones are usually made of basalt. These stones are the result of volcanic eruptions. They contain silica and oxygen in combined proportions, also minerals like magnesium and iron, which is why they retain heat so well. Basalt stones are extremely soft, they have a smooth surface and are free from roughness, making them an ideal tool for massage therapies. The stones are immersed in water and heated in an electric heater until they are within a certain temperature range. Once heated, the stones are placed on the points that are thought to be energy centres of the body (called Chakras) to rebalance body and mind. I always hold the stones first before placing them on your body, which ensures that the temperature will not be too hot. Everyone, however, has their own comfort range so be sure to tell me if the stones are too hot for you! For this massage I use rose geranium oil, which itself has many good properties - it boosts self - esteem and confidence, helps to fight depression, relieves spasms, promotes circulation, boosts immune system, tones skin and helps with fading strech marks and scars, etc., just to mention a few.
